A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FEES AND
SERVICE CHARGES PURSUANT TO THE
REVENUE/COST COMPARISON SYSTEM
UNDER CHAPTER 3.70 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, state law requires new fees and charges and increases in existing fees and
charges be adopted by ordinance or resolution following a public hearing on said fees and
charges; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 3.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code authorizes the
establishment and increase of service charges under the revenue/cost comparison system; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council was advertised twice in the
Bakersfield Californian. a newspaper ofgenerai circulation, and held on September 11, 1996; and
WHEREAS, adoption of new and increased fees and charges, pursuant to Chapter 3.70
of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, is necessary for the City to recover the reasonable estimated
cost of providing the services for which the fees are charged; and
WHEREAS, the fees and charges set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated
by reference as though fully set forth herein, do not exceed the reasonable estimated cost of
providing the services for which the fees are charged.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
1. The above recitals and findings are true and correct.
2. The fees and charges set forth in Exhibit A concerning service charges under
Chapter 3.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code are hereby adopted and shall become effective on
September 25, 1996.
