Home My WebLink AboutRES NO 144-96A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD APPROVING THE AMENDED CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODES FOR THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD DEPARTMENTS, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES. WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act requires each govemmental agency to review its Conflict of Interest Code biennially to determine accuracy or the need to amend; and WHEREAS, the Council is the Code reviewing body for said Departments, Boards Commissions and Committees; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendments have been reviewed and considered by said Departments, Boards, Commissions and Committees of the City of Bakersfield. as follows: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield 1. That the proposed Conflict of Interest Codes attached hereto in Exhibit "A", are approved for adoption by the respective Departments, Boards, Commissions and Committees of the City of Bakersfield. 2. That all designated employees as provided in the attached Conflict of Interest Codes in Exhibit "A", are hereby instructed to file Satements of Economic Interest according to the terms of 2 California Code of Regulations Section 18730. ...... o0o ...... Commissions and Committees Consultant 1 The City Manager may determine in writing that a particular consultant, although a "designated position," is hired to perform a range of duties that is limited in scope and thus is not required to fully comply with the disclosure requirements in this section. Such written determination shall include a description of the consuitant's duties based upon that description, a statement of the extent of disclosure requirement. The City Manageds determination is a public record and shall be retained for public inspection in the same manner and location as this conflict of interest code.
