A R~SOLUTION FINDING THAT THE PUBLIC
CON'v'~NIENCE WILL BE SERVED BY
ALLOWING THE TRANSFER OF A LICENSE
TO SELL ALCOHOL BE THE WINE SELLER
ESTABLISHMENT.
WHEREAS, Herb Benham, who operates an establishment
called the Wine Seller, has applied with the State Alcohol Beverage
Commission to transfer his license from 704 Oak Street to 1920 Eye
Street in downtown Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the provisions set forth in sections
23954 and 23954.4 of the Business and Professions Code, the Alcohol
Beverage Commission requires a finding by the City that such a
transfer would serve the public convenience or necessity;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield that, based on the findings of this Council, it is
found and determined that:
1. The above recitals are true and correct.
2. The public convenience would be served by the
transfer of the license to sell alcohol from 704 Oak Street to 1920
Eye Street in downtown Bakersfield.
