ROLL CALk ACTION TAKEN Present: Absent: Agency Members Araujo, Cohrs, Gaskill, Lindsay, Morea (seated at 4:20), Sceales Agency Member Prince 2. PUBUC STATEMENTS CONSENT CALENDAR a. Approval of Voucher Nos. 5 through 17 inclusive, in the amount of $7,110.17. b. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 9, 1993. Motion by Sceales to adopt Items (a) and (b) of the Consent Calendar. REPORTS Presentation regarding Central Business District Zoning Advisory committee. (Ward 2) Economic Development Wager introduced Development Services Principal Planner Eggert who made a presentation. Presentation of proposed Ordinance amendment regarding Unreinforced Masonry (URM) buildings. Development Services Principal Planner Eggert made a presentation. APPROVED AB MOREA PRINCE 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Bakersfield, California, September 13, 1993 - Page 2 6. NEY; BUSINESS ACTION TAKEN Payment of back taxes on the two Convention Center Hotel parcels. Motion by Araujo to authorize payment. APPROVED AB PRINCE AGENCY STATEMENTS Lindsay reemphasized asking the County why a notice was not received for 5 years regarding taxes. Gaskill requested asking the County why they will not reconsider assessed valuation, and if city has the right to appeal. Motion by Gaskill to recess to Closed Session at 5:15 p.m. APPROVED AB PRINCE CLOSED SESSION Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 regarding real property negotiations respecting the Convention Center Hotel (property located at southeast corner of Truxtun Avenue and Q Street, Bakersfield) with Hammons Group. 9.
