Roy Saunders, asked questions of
Executive Director Tandy: 1) Under
what section of the UBC is it proposed
that the building be completed - what
year? 2) Is the long-term bond issue
also going to be guaranteed, as with
the developer personally guaranteeing
the construction loan? 3) Are there
going to be any school fees attached
to this project? 4) Are there going
to be any Transportation Impact Fees
attached to this project?
Executive Director Tandy clarified why
a continuation of the hearing is being
presented: It appears that the bonds may
not be marketed until after the first of
January. There are some changes that
have been made in the State redevelopment
laws which, if the transaction is closed
after January 1st, necessitates the
posting of an additional document for
two weeks for public review, prior to
adoption.
Responses to questions and revisions to
the DDA will be posted, along with the
new statutory documents, for public
review for a two-week period, in advance
of the 15th of December. At the meeting
of December 15, 1993, a recommendation
to adopt the agreement will be made.
AD~OURNM~NF was at 3:40 p.m. to the Special
Meeting of December 15, 1993 at 3:00 p.m, in
the Council Chambers Chambers of city Hall,
1501 Truxtun Avenue.
