Minutes of the Regular Meeting of
November 8, 1993 and Special Meeting
of November 22, 1993.
Motion by Sceales to adopt Items
and (b) of the Consent Calendar.

Fiscal Year ended June 30, 1993.
Finance Director provided background
information.
Motion by Cohrs to accept the
Component Unit Financial Report.

of the Central District Development
Agency to the State Controller.
Motion by Sceales to accept the Annual
Report and forward to City Council.

Hearing for the purpose of the biennial
review of the Redevelopment Plan for
the Downtown Bakersfield Redevelopment
Project.
Development Associate Barnes presented
an overview of Agency accomplishments
for Fiscal Year 1992-93.
No one spoke at hearing. Hearing
closed.

AGENCY STATEMENTS
Lindsay asked the status of the Brown Motel
and Investments Inc. activities and contract.
Economic Development Director Wager will
provide a report at the next meeting on the
status of the contract.
Lindsay referenced a newspaper article on
Cafe Med being unable to come downtown
because it is too expensive and asked if
staff has exercised every measure to help
them. Economic Development Director Wager
will have staff approach Cafe Med with an
offer of assistance to establish a second
location downtown, and to include Araujo
in the process.
Lindsay asked if Agency Members can receive
information on who has contacted the City
regarding locating downtown. Economic
Development Director Wager will provide a
"sanitized" report to Agency Members
periodically.
Lindsay inquired as to how much money is in
the account for Agency to do what they want
to do and what can be done.

Motion by Cohrs for Economic Development
Director Wager and Finance Director Klimko
put together a 5-year forecast of the cash
situation and refer to the Strategic Plan-
ning Committee for analysis.

on December 15, 1993 at 3:00 p.m.
