Request from Kern County Superintendent
of Schools to relocate the public art
piece "Wind" to the main building
entrance facing 17th Street.
Bill Paynter, representing the Super-
intendent of Schools, spoke in support
of the relocation.
Motion by Araujo to approve relocation. APPROVED

ACTION TAKEN
Amendment to Section 611 B. of the
Disposition and Development Agreement
with John Q. Hammons for the Bakersfield
Convention Center Hotel Project.
Motion by Sceales to approve the Amend-
ment, delaying the time the City must
commence rebates to the Developer.

AGENCY STATEMENTS
Economic Development Director Wager
announced a demonstration of sidewalk
steam cleaning will take place May 10,
1994 by Davenport Sweeping Services,
location to be determined.
Lindsay recommended accepting the Downtown
Business Association offer to appoint an
Agency liaison member to the DBA Board and
suggested the Immediate Past-Chair fill
this position. Staff to bring back a
recommended policy to the CDDA Meeting of
May 9, 1994.
