c. Grant Deed transferring title for the DEED 029
18th & Eye Parking Structure to the
city of Bakersfield.
Motion by Sceales to adopt Items (a)
through (c) of the Consent Calendar.

Landscaping, lighting and signage de-
sign for the Convention Center Hotel
Project at 801 Truxtun Avenue.
Economic Development Associate Webb
provided background information.
Motion by Gaskill to approve the
landscaping, lighting and signage
design.

ACTION TAKEN
Ownership Participation Agreement with
21st and M Street Partnership (Gayle W.
Carlson) for redevelopment assistance
to carry out the purposes of the Rede-
velopment Plan at 21st and M Streets.
(National Association for People with
Disabilities, NAPD)
Miller abstained due to a possible
business relationship.
Economic Development Director Wager
provided background information and
introduced Gayle Carlson, 21st and
M Street Partnership, who spoke and
answered questions.
Motion byGaskill to approve Agreement.

Agreement with Urban Design Studios,
Inc. to create a comprehensive Urban
Design Concept Plan and Implementation
Program for Downtown Bakersfield's
Chester Avenue area.
Economic Development Director Wager
provided background information and
introduced Bruce Jacobson, Urban
Design Studios, Inc., who provided
further information.
Prince recommended Agency's Design
Review Committee serve as liaisons to
the program.

Motion by Gaskill to approve Agreement.

AGENCY STATEMENTS
Prince and Gaskill acknowledged Victoria
Araujo and thanked her for her term of
service to the Agency.
Motion by Miller to appoint Design Review
Committee Members Cohrs and Gaskill to serve
as liaisons to Urban Design Studios program
(Item 6.b.)

Raphael.
