AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10.28.010 OF
THE BAKERSFIELD MUNCIPAL CODE RELATING TO
ONE-WAY STREETS. (Ward 4)
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Rescue Mission has requested that East 21st Street
between King Street and Beale Avenue be designated as a one-way street in order to
provide more parking directly in front of the Mission by allowing diagonal parking on
both the south and north side of East 21st Street; and
WHEREAS, this amendment will establish East 21st Street between King Street
and Beale Avenue as a one-way, West to East, street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 10.28.010 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to add
subsection C. 1. h., to read as follows:
10.28.010 Established.
C. 1. h. East 21s~ Street from Kina Street to Beale Avenue
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with provisions of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after the date of its
passage.
