3. CONSENT CALENDAR
Minutes of the Special Meeting of May 21, 1998 and
Regular Meeting of June 8, 1998.
Payments from July 3, to August 14, 1998 in the
amount of $2,913,655.92.
Motion by Miller, second by Cohrs, to adopt Consent
Calendar Items a. and b.

4. WORKSHOP
Review of Preliminary Plan for Proposed Southeast
Bakersfield and Old Town Kern-Pioneer Project
Areas.
Economic Development Director Jake Wager
provided a brief update and introduced Ernie Glover,
GRC Development Consultant who presented a
review and update of the project areas and provided
written material.
Economic Development Director Jake Wager announced
that Business Manager Alan Christensen has been
promoted to the position of Assistant City Manager; and
Development Associate Andre Devereaux has submitted
her resignation; Development Associate Jan Fulton will be
assuming her duties.

Chairperson Cohrs adjourn at 4:45 p.m.
