AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO RESOLUTION NO. 181-85 OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING
INVESTMENT OF CITY OF BAKERSFIELD MONIES IN THE
LOCAL AGENCY INVESTMENT FUND (LAIF)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 730 of the Statures of 1976, Section 16429.1 was
added to the California Government Code to create a Local Agency Investment Fund in the
State Treasury for the deposit of money of a local agency for purposes of investment by the
State Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 181-85 adopted on December 11, 1985 authorized the
deposit and withdrawal of City monies in the Local Investment Fund in the State Treasury in
accordance with the provisions of Section 16429.1 of the Government Code.
WHEREAS, the following Finance Department officers are currently authorized to
order the deposit or withdrawal of monies in the Local Agency Investment Fund under
Resolution No. 181-85:
Gregory J. Klimko, Finance Director
Gilbert Rojas, Assistant Finance Director
William C. Descary, Revenue Supervisor
WHEREAS, the City now desires to add one officer to the list of Finance
Department officers authorized to order the deposit or withdrawal of monies in the Local
Agency Investment Fund to facilitate prompt and timely transactions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
