Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Central
District Development Agency of the City of Bakersfield,
California, held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, at 3:00 p.m., March 5, 1990.
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson
Paynter.
City Clerk williams called the roll as follows:

CONSENT CALENDAR
The following items were listed on the Consent
Calendar:

Approval of Warrant Nos. 0227 to 0233,
inclusive, in the amount of $8,648.17.
b. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of
February 20, 1990, for approval.
Upon a motion by Agency Member Araujo, Items a and b
of the Consent Calendar were adopted by the following roll call

Upon a motion by Agency Member Watson, this matter
was referred to the Development Committee.
Signage for the Interior of the Bakersfield
Convention Center.
Upon a motion by Agency Member
matter was deferred to the next regular
Development Agency meeting.

Approval to Set Date for Joint City
Council/CDDA Workshop Regarding Downtown
Convention Center Hotel.
Upon a motion by Agency Member Kronenberg, the Joint
City Council/CDDA Workshop was set for March 14, 1990, at
6:00 p.m., by the following roll call vote:

Agency Member Kronenberg stated he had a discussion
with Economic Development Director Jake Wager regarding the
need for a master calendar, and he stated Mr. Wager is
presently working on this.
Agency Member Kronenberg stated that Councllmember
McDermott was reported to have raised the issue of Ethics Code
conflicts in the City, particularly the Planning Commission,
and he asked staff for a copy of the Ethics Code for the Agency
Members to review and discuss at a future meeting.
Economic Development Director Wager stated that one
of the items included in the Agency packets was a sample of the
proposed Historic Preservation District Ordinance, and he
distributed copies of the Historical Preservation Commission's
Annual Report.
CLOSED SESSION
Closed Session pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(a) regarding Bakersfield
Convention Center Hotel Associates,
Bankruptcy Court, District of Colorado.
Upon a motion by Agency Member Kronenberg, the Agency
adjourned to the City Manager's Conference Room for Closed
Session at 3:22 p.m.
