Minutes of
Agency of the City of
Chambers of City Hall
the Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment
Bakersfield, California, held in the Council
at 5:05 p.m., January 7, 1987.
The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman
Childs.
The City Clerk called the roll as follows:

Diekerson, Moore,
City Attorney Oberholzer explained the rules and regula-
tions of the Brown Act, stating that only items printed on the
agenda can be discussed and acted upon.
Upon an inquiry by Acting Chairman Childs, City Attorney
Oberholzer clarified that Council Statements must be given to the
City Clerk for placement on the agenda, including the name of the
Councilmember and a general description of the item to be dis-
cussed. A two-thirds vote of the Council is necessary to deter-
mine that a matter requires action, and that the matter was not
recognized until after the agenda for that meeting was posted.
Agency Member Dickerson suggested that the Redevelopment
Agency Agenda include Agency Member Statements.
MINUTES
Upon a motion by Agency Member Moore, the minutes of the
Special Joint Meetings of November 25, 1986, and December 17, 1986,
of the Council and Redevelopment Agency, and the Regular Meeting of
December 3, 1986, were approved.
CONSENT CALENDAR
The following items were listed on the Consent Calendar:
a. Approval of Warrant Nos. 127 through 154 inclusive,
in the amount of $855,897.06.
b. Design Review Board recommends approval of the fol-
lowing projects:
1. Emporium Western Store, 1013 19th Street -
signage.
Golden Empire Transit District, southwest corner
of Truxtun and Chester - passenger waiting
shelters.
3. Chain & Younger Law Office, 1670 "M" Street
signage.
4. Wells Fargo Bank, 1731 Chester Avenue - additional
signage.
Upon a motion by Agency Member Moore, Items a. and b. of
the Consent Calendar were adopted by the following vote:

There being no further business to come before the
Redevelopment Agency, upon a motion by Agency Member Christensen,
the meeting was adjourned at 5:16 p.m.
