BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Special Meetin~ .... March 9, 1982
The Special Meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called
to order by Mr. Mooneyham on Tuesday, March 9, 1982 at 4 p.m. in the City
Council Chambers. The secretary called the roll as follows:
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Judy Clausen
Frank Lewis
John Mooneyham
Rollie Moore
Glenn Puder
Gene Winer
MEMBERS ABSENT:
Richard Bilas
STAFF PRESENT:
Philip Kelmar, Executive Director
Richard Russell, Deputy Executive Director
W. D. Higginbotham, Jr., Treasurer
Richard Oberholzer, City Attorney
David Kennon, Economic Development Coordinator
PROJECTS
Hotel
Staff made a brief presentation concerning the Disposition and Development
Agreement for the Hotel project. Mr. Oberholzer related the necessary
procedures in order to accept this document and set a public hearing for
discussion of this agreement.
Mr. Kennon briefly explained several key issues of the agreement
which contains the Site Map, Scope of Development, Lease Agreement, and
Schedule of Performance.
Mr. McBride was present and stated he had signed the agreement and
expressed his gratitude for the City's confidence in his company. He
made a brief comment on the Hotel, and commented on the impact he felt
this Hotel will have toward the City.
Mr. Winer made a motion to have the staff begin the California
Environmental Equality Act review process. Motion was seconded by
Mr. Lewis and carried.

ABSENT: Bilas
Motion was made by Mr. Puder and seconded by Mr. Moore to have the
consultants complete reports and studies necessary pursuant to the Health
and Safety Code. Motion was carried as follows:

NOES: None
ABSENT: Btlas
Upon a motion by Mr. Lewis and Second by Mr. Winer, to have staff
set the date for a public hearing to discuss the Agreement. Motion was
carried as follows:

Puder, Winer
ADJOURNMENT
