BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Special Meeting - September 11, 1980
A Special Meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called
to order by Chairman Casper Thursday, September Il, 1980, at 4 p.m. in the City
Council Chamber, for the purpose of considering a resolution setting forth the
Agency's intent to issue bonds to help f~nance the proposed shopping center.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Vincent Casper, Chairman
Jeanne Foth, Vice Chairman
John S. Mooneyham
Dr, Glenn D, Puder
Gene Winer
ABSENT: Robert E. King
STAFF PRESENT; Jim Gilchrist, Community Development & Housing Coordinator
ITEM I: Resolution of Intent to Issue Bonds - Mr. Gilchrist explained that
the resolution under consideration is another document required as part of the
UDAG packet, and is required to show evidence of the City's intent to issue
bonds for financing its portion of the public costs for the Downtown Retail
Shopping Center. He stated that staff recommended adoption of the resolution.
Following discussion, on motion by Mr. Wirier, seconded by Ms. Foth,
and carried, Resolution RA6-80, "A RESOLUTION OF THE BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY (THE "AGENCY") SETTING FORTH THE AGENCY'S INTENT TO ISSUE TAX INCREMENT
BONDS OR LEASE REVENUE BONDS TO FINANCE A PORTION OF THE PUBLIC COSTS FOR THE
DOWNTOWN RETAIL CENTER DEVELOPMENT SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS," was adopted
by the following vote:

ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Casper stated this being a Special Meeting, no other business
shall be considered, and adjourned the meeting at 4:0V,m.
