A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE BAKERSFIELD
POLICE DEPARTMENT THE AUTHORITY TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE CALIFORNIA
1122 PROCUREMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, The City,
Department, provides narcotic
equipment is utilized,; and
through the Bakersfield Police
enforcement in which specialized
WHEREAS, certain specialized and other equipment can be
obtained from the California Counter-Drug Procurement Program
through the Office of Criminal Justice Planning at a reduced cost,
or at no cost to the City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
By the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. To allow the Bakersfield Police Department to
participate in the California 1122 Federal Procurement Program to
purchase equipment; and to also participate in the Defense
Reutilization and Marketing Systems D.O.D. 1208, for excess
military equipment.
