HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/07/79 MINUTES RA MINUTES BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Special Meeting-November 7, 1979 A Special Meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Casper, Wednesday, November 7, 1979 at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chamber for the purpose of amending covenants, conditions and restric- tions of a grant deed conveying property from the Agency to the California Republic Bank. The secretary called the roll as follows: MEMBERS PRESENT: Vincent Casper, Chairman Jeanne Foth Frank S. Lewis John S. Mooneyham Ralph H. Poehner, Vice Chairman ABSENT: Robert E. King Dr. Glenn D. Puder STAFF PRESENT: Dennis Needham, Deputy Executive Director Philip Kelmar, Treasurer Richard Oberholzer, Assistant City Attorney Melvin Tooker, Development Services Coordinator OTHERS PRESENT: Lawrence E. Guay and Carl Danielson, Guay & Danielson ITEM I: AMENDMENT TO COVENANTS, CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS OF GRANT DEED CON- VEYING PROPERTY FROM THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO CALIFORNIA REPUBLIC BANK. Chairman Casper introduced Mr. Danielson who explained that in order for his Company to obtain permanent financing, they are requesting the Agency to release certain covenants running with the land, and secure those covenants by a deed of trust subordinate to the permanent lender. Mr. Oberholzer explained the Agency's position, and recommended the Agency approve. Following discussion, Mr. Poehner moved to authorize the Executive Director of the Agency to execute an amendment to the covenants, conditions and restrictions of the Grant Deed which conveyed real property from the Agency to California Republic Bank for their project at 17th and Chester. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lewis, and carried by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Casper, Foth, Mooneyham and Poehner None King and Puder ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Agency, Chairman Casper adjourned the meeting at 5:35 p.m. Bake r s f i e 1 ti~ Redeve~J~fhen t Bernice E.
