HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/22/75 MINUTES RA MINUTES BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Regular Meeting - April 22~ 1975 -9- The regular meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Vincent Casper on April 22, 1975, at 4:15 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, following a tour by members of the K Street Parking Garage. The Secretary called the roll as follows: PRESENT: Vincent Casper, Chairman Ralph H. Poehner James L. Stewart Theron Taber ABSENT: Robert E. King, Vice Chairman Dr. Glenn Puder Bill Lee (Chairman Casper noted for the record that Mr. Lee toured the K Street Parking Garage, and left to take care of other business only after being assured of a quorum in attendance at the meeting.) STAFF: Dick Foster, Deputy Executive Director Phil White, Building Department Dewey Sceales, Planning Department Ed Schulz, Public Works Department MINUTES additions Meeting. Chairman Casper asked if there were any corrections or to be made to the Minutes of the March 25, 1975, Regular There being none, the Minutes were approved as mailed. CORRESPONDENCE There was no correspondence for presentation. REPORTS a) Appointments - Chairman Casper reported that Dr. Glenn Puder and Mr. James L. Stewart had been reappointed to Agency membership by the City Council for four-year terms expiring on February 1, 1979. OLD BUSINESS a) Change Order No. 4 (K Street Parking Garage, Contract No. RA4-74) - Mr. Foster reviewed the necessity for Change Order No. 4 to this contract in the amount of $1,058, for modification of electrical installations at 17th and K Streets to permit the widening of K Street. This location had been observed, and the problem discussed, while members toured in the area prior to the meeting. On motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Poehner, and carried, Change Order No. 4 to Contract No. RA4-74, was approved as presented. A copy of said change order marked Exhibit "A" is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. MINUTES BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY -2- -10- April 22, 1975 NEW BUSINESS a) Chairman Casper called attention to the City's "Downtown Parking Needs Assessment" report which had been mailed to members; and noted that although the Agency itself was not involved in this parking study, he recommended members familiarize themselves with the downtown parking problems and proposals contained therein. b) Chairman Casper advised that Redevelopment Agency members are invited by the Tulare Redevelopment Agency to attend a function at the Tulare Tower Square, Friday, May 2, 1975, at 11:30 a.m. For details and reservations contact Dick Foster. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency, the meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m. by Chairman Casper.
