HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/01/75 MINUTES RA MINUTES BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Special Meeting - July 1~ 1975 A Special Meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Vincent Casper on July 1, 1975, at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. The secretary called the roll as follows: PRESENT: Vincent Casper, Chairman Bill Lee Ralph H. Poehner Dr. Glenn Puder James L. Stewart ABSENT: Robert E. King Theron Taber STAFF: H. E. Bergen, Executive Director Dick Foster, Deputy Executive Director Jack Reagan, Community Development Dewey Sceales, Planning Department Phil White, Building Department Alex Buechler, Building Department ITEM 1. Receipt of a Proposed Disposition and Development Asree- ment (Weston Proposal, Parcel "C") - Mr. Foster explained that when entering into any Disposition and Development Agreement, or selling any property, the Agency must have a public hearing. This is to keep the activity of the Agency in the eyes of the public at all times. Action required is to officially receive the Disposition and Development Agreement, set a public hearing date for sale of the property, authorize publication of the public hearing, and grant approval for obtaining preliminary title report on Parcel "C". Mr. Foster read the resolution. Following discussion, on motion by Dr. Puder, seconded by Mr. Lee, and carried, Resolution No. RA8-75, "Resolution Receiving a Proposed Disposition and Development Agreement; Authorizing a Public Hearing on the Proposed Sale of Real Property in the Downtown Bakersfield Redevelopment Project and Said Disposition and Develop- ment Agreement; and Authorizing the Publication of a Notice Therefor," was adopted. On motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Poehner, and carried, the Agency authorized a preliminary title report on Parcel "C." ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency, the meeting was adjourned at 4:10 p.m. by Chairman Casper.
