HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/15/75 MINUTES RA-23- MINUTES BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Special Meeting - July 15~ 1975 A apecial meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Vincent Casper on July 15, 1975, at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. The secretary called the roll as follows: PRESENT: Vincent Casper, Chairman Bill Lee Ralph H. Poehner Dr. Glenn Puder James L. Stewart Theron Taber ABSENT: Robert E. King STAFF: H. E. Bergen, Executive Director Dick Foster, Deputy Executive Director Dewey Sceales, Planning Department Alex Buechler, Building Department ITEM 1. Final Payment "K" Street Parking Garage - Mr. Foster re- viewed the status of completion of this project, and advised that staff recormnended payment in the amount of $66,907.19, withholding $3,000.00 until completion of the painting of the spandrels to the satisfaction of the Public Works Director. Mr. Foster read the resolution to this effect. Following discussion, on motion by Mr. Taber, seconded by Mr. Stewart, and carried, Resolution No. RA9-75, "A Resolution Authorizing Final Payment and Settlement of Amounts Owing to Tumblin Company/Unicon Parking Structures, Inc. Under Contract No. RA4-74. ITEM 2. Additional Expenses on "K" Street Parking Garage - Mr. Foster read two memos from Public Works Department, one explaining additional costs paid for by them in the amount of $1,244.61, cover- ing paving of curbs and gutters and work on the irrigation system; and the other covering an amount totaling $2,340.00 for which they will use for additional railing required at entrance and exit ramps, completion of restroom facility, and installation of additional wheel stops for 34 stalls. On motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Taber, and carried, the Agency authorized reimbursement to Public Works Department in the amount of $1,244.61; and on motion by Dr. Puder, seconded by Mr. Lee, and carried, the Agency authorized Public Works Department to proceed with the additional work necessary as outlined in the amount of $2,340.00.
