HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/22/76 MINUTES RA-15- MINUTES BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Regular Meeting June 22, 1976 The Regular Meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Vincent Casper on June 22, 1976, at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. The secretary called the roll as follows: PRESENT: Vincent Casper, Chairman Jeanne Foth Robert E. King Ralph H. Poehner Dr. Glenn D. Puder James L. Stewart ABSENT: Ray Pettit STAFF: Dick Foster, Deputy Executive Director Denny Haynes, Treasurer MINUTES The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 20, 1976, and the Minutes of the Special Meeting of June 10, 1976, were approved as mailed. FINANCIAL a) Voucher Approval - Ms. Foth, a member of the Voucher Committee, reviewed each voucher and moved, seconded by Dr. Puder, that Vouchers Nos. 35 through 42, as listed on Voucher Register dated June 22, 1976, be approved. The motion carried. b) Budget Review and Adoption - Mr. Haynes reviewed the "Estimated Revenues, Fiscal Year 1976-77," and the "Proposed Budget, Year 1976-77," copies of which were given each member. Following discussion, on motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Poehner, and carried, the Redevelopment Agency Budget for 1976-77 was approved as submitted. Also, on motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. King, and carried, the Agency approved adjusting the 1975-76 Budget for the operation of the "K" Street Parking Garage, for an expenditure in excess of the budget of up to $95,000. PROJECTS a) Status Reports on Projects - Mr. Foster reviewed the status of, and answered questions regarding, each of the following projects: Hotel Complex, Elks Building, Beach Park, and Griffith Downtown Shopping Center. GENERAL a) Downtown Design Standards - Following a review of these Design Stan- dards by Mr. Foster, on motion by Dr. Puder, seconded by Ms. Foth, and carried, the Downtown Design Standards were approved as previously amended. b) Relocation Seminar in Burbank - Mr. Foster stated that this one-day seminar sponsored by the City of Burbank would review goodwill valuation under the new eminent domain law, and recommended attendance. c) Buildin9 Permits in Project Area - Mr. Foster reviewed a report of building permits issued in the project area.
