BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Regular Meeting - January 25, 1977

The Regular Meeting of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency was called to
order by Chairman Casper Tuesday, January 25, 1977, at 4 p.m., in the City Council
Chamber.
The secretary called the roll as follows:

MINUTES
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 14, 1976, were approved as
malted.
FINANCIAL
a) Voucher Approval - On motion by Ms. Foth, seconded by Dr. Puder, and carried,
Vouchers Nos 34 through 39 (Voucher Register, January 25, 1977} were approved for
payment.
PROdECTS
a) Status of Projects - Mr. Foster reviewed the current status of all Redevelop-
ment Agency projects, and answered questions from members.
b) Valley Federal Savings and Loan - Mr. Foster presented plans and specifica-
tions the Building Department had received from Valley Federal for a structure on the
southeast corner of 19th Street and Chester Avenue. The Agency reviewed the project,
and it was noted that the Agency's Design Standards are being applied. Following
discussion, Mr. King moved for approval of this project as submitted. Dr. Puder
seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
GENERAL
a) Griffith Invitation to Visit Galleria in Glendale - Mr. Foster advised the
Agency that he had received an invitation from Mr. Dan Donahue of John S. Griffith
Company for Agency members to visit the newly constructed shopping center in Glendale
on Friday, February 11, 1977. Mr. Foster said arrangements would be made, and
members notified.
b) Design Review Board - Mr. Foster reviewed that the Agency had returned the
Rules and Regulations for this proposed Board to the Downtown Business Association
with comments and suggestions. He stated he had received a letter from the D.B.A.
dated January 25, 1977, approving the amended Rules and Regulations, and advising
that the D.B.A. would be nominating six people for membership on the Board. The
seventh member is to be from the Planning Commission, appointed by the Commission.
c) February Meetin~l Date - The next Regular Meeting of the Agency will be
held Tuesday, February 22, 1977, at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
