A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING COLLECTION
OF ASSESSMENTS BY THE KERN COUNTY TAX
COLLECTOR FOR DEMOLITION AND/OR REMOVAL
OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield has
adopted Resolution No. 73-95 confirming the reports of the Building
Director regarding assessments of certain properties in the City of
Bakersfield (attached hereto as Exhibit "A") for securing and
maintaining dangerous buildings against entry; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Chapter 8.80 requires that in the
event such charges assessed and confirmed against the properties as
listed in Exhibit "A" are not paid in full by June 30, 1995, the
Assistant Finance Director shall cause the amount of said
assessments remaining unpaid against the property to be entered and
extended on the property tax roll, and pursuant to law, the County
Tax Collector shall include them on the tax bill applicable to the
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield:
1. The above recitals are found to be true and correct.
2. The charges assessed and confirmed against the
properties as listed in Exhibit "A" have not been paid as of June
30, 1995.
3. The Tax Collector of the County of Kern, and such
other County officers as may be required, are hereby authorized to
place the above mentioned assessments on the 1995-96 secured roll
of the County and collect such assessments in the same manner as ad
valorem property taxes.
4. The City Clerk shall transmit said assessments to the
Assistant Finance Director with instructions to submit same to the
Kern County Auditor-Controller and Tax Collector.

and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular

I am the duly appointed Assistant Finance Director of the
Bakersfield, California. I am making this declaration
to Chapter 8.80 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
2. Pursuant to Resolutions No. 73-95 passed and adopted by
the Council of the City of Bakersfield, the assessments for certain
properties in the City of Bakersfield attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" for securing and maintaining dangerous buildings against entry
have been confirmed.
3. The charges assessed and confirmed against the properties
as listed in Exhibits "A" have not been paid as of June 30, 1995.
4. The foregoing matters are within my personal knowledge
and, if called as a witness herein, I could and would competently
testify thereto.
5. I declare, under penalty of perjury, under the laws of
the State of California, that the foregoing is true and correct.
