A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CLOSURE OF
WALL STREET BETWEEN CHESTER AVENUE
AND "H" STREET TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
DURING CERTAIN HOURS.
WHEREAS, numerous businesses have entrances or exits on Wall
Street between Chester Avenue and "H" Street; and
WHEREAS, many of those businesses remain open until 2:00
a.m.; and
WHEREAS, vehicular traffic on Wall Street between Chester
Avenue and "H" Street during the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
creates a safety hazard for the patrons on those businesses
accessible from Wall Street; and
WHEREAS, closure of Wall Street between Chester Avenue and
"H" Street at certain hours is necessary for the safety and
protection of the patrons of the businesses accessible from Wall
Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
wall Street, between Chester Avenue and "H" Street,
shall be closed to vehicular traffic between the hours of
7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. daily.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on SFp 27 ~§5 , by the
