HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 216-03RESOLUTION N O. ~[_.~_.0__~L A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN USED VEHICLES CANNOT BE REASONABLY OBTAINED THROUGH USUAL BIDDING PROCEDURES AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH FORMAL BIDDING THEREFOR, NOT TO EXCEED $55,000.00 (TWO REPLACEMENT VEHICLES FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT). WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield Police Department is in need of two (2) replacement used vehicles for use within the Police Department; and WHEREAS, the restricted availability involved with the purchase of used vehicles make it impractical for normal bidding procedures; and WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined the purchasing of certain used vehicles cannot follow normal bidding procedures, and has recommended this Council authorize dispensing with bidding therefor, in accordance with Section 3.20.060(D)(2) of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
