A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT FIRE
STATION APPARATUS DOORS AND RELATED
MATERIAL CANNOT BE REASONABLY
OBTAINED THROUGH THE USUAL BIDDING
PROCEDURES AND AUTHORIZING THE
FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING FOR APPARATUS DOORS AND
PURCHASE SAME FROM ROBERT B. MOSS, JR.
NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($78,000).
WHEREAS, the City desires to have standard apparatus door assemblies for all
fire stations; and
.WHEREAS, the City requires 24 hour, seven days a week availability for parts
and iepair; and
WHEREAS, parts, repair, and installation of apparatus doors can only be
acquired through one vendor, to wit: Robert B. Moss, Jr.; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein by
reference.
2. The work, supplies, equipment, or materials can only be reasonably
obtained from one vendor because of restricted availability of such work, supplies,
equipment, or materials.
3. The Finance Director is authorized to dispense with bidding in
accordance with Section 3.20.060 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
4. The expenditure of funds for said work, supplies, equipment, or
mate'rials shall not exceed Seventy-Eight Thousand Dollars ($78,000).
