AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION § 1.12.010, § 1.t2.040, AND BY ADDING A PORTION
OF ANNEXATION NO. 442 TO WARD 1, AND ANNEXATION NO.
439 TO WARD 4.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a resolution
for Annexation Nos. 439 and 442 recently ordedng the territories annexed to the City of Bakersfield;
and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is required
to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexations for the territory to the
City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A" for
ANNEXATION NOS. 439 and 442 and shown in Exhibit ~B", attached hereto and incorporated as
though fully set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 439 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 3.
Annexation No. 442 shall be included in Ward 1.
Section 4.
Section 1.12.010 and 1.12.040 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby
amended by adding thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 5.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the
City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.

ANNEXATION NO. 439
That parcel of land being portions of Sections 11, 12, 13 and 14, Township 29 South,
Range 26 East, M.D.M., County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described
as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of said Section 14, also being the point of
intersection of the center lines of Allen Road (Co. Rd. No. 67 & 843) and Reina Road
(Co. Rd. No. 715), said point being a monumented section corner calculated to be
2,338,379.095 feet North and 6,220,332.853 feet East per California Coordinate System
(N.A.D. 83), Zone 5;
Thence S 89° 16' 59" E, along the north line of said Section 13, a distance of 30.00 feet
to a point on the existing corporate boundary line of the City of Bakersfield, said point
also being on the east right of way line of said Allen Road;
Thence S 00° 43' 03" W, along said corporate boundary line and east right of way line,
30.00 feet to intersect the south right of way line of said Reina Road, said point being
the True Point of Beginning;
Thence (1) departing said corporate boundary, N 89° 16" 59" W, along the westerly
prolongation of said south right of way line, 30,00 feet to meet the east line of said
Section 14;
Thence (2) continuing along the south right of way line of Reina Road (south line of the
north 30 feet of said Section 14) N 89° 15' 57" W, 1321.19 feet to intersect the southerly
prolongation of the west line of Lot 31 of "Sales Map of Lands of Kern County Land
Company" in said Section 11, per map filed for record January 9, 1891, in the Office of
the Kern County Recorder;
Thence (3) N O0° 44' 38" E, along the west lines of Lots 31 and 18 of said "Sales Map of
Lands of Kern County Land Company" .(and prolongations thereof), 2703.24 feet to
intersect the north right of way line of Kratzmeyer Road (Co. Rd. No. 67);
Thence (4) S 89° 14' 13" E, along said north,right of way line, 1321.01 feet to intersect
the west line of said Section 12, said point also being on the north right of way line of
Olive Drive (Co. Rd. No. 67);
Thence (5) S 89° 18' 20" E, along said north right of way line, 61.00 feet to an angle
point on the existing corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield, said point also being
on the east right of way line of said Allen Road;

of said Section 12;

That parcel of land being the north 1/2 of the southwest ¼ of Section 2, T. 30 S., R. 28 E.,
M.D.M., County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the west ¼ comer (monumented) of said Section 2, said ¼ comer also being
a point on the existing corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (1) S 89* 52' 12" E, along the north line of the southwest ¼ ofsald Section 2 (and
said corporate boundary line) 2654.30 feet to the northeast comer thereof;
Thence (2) departing from said corporate boundary, S 00° 31' 01" W, along the east line
of said ¼ section, a distance of 1331.50 feet to the southeast comer of the north ½ of the
southwest ¼ of said Section 2;
