ROLL CALL Present: Absent: Chairperson Mishoe, Agency Members, Cohen, Raphael, Schroeder, Davenport ACTION TAKEN 2. PUBLIC STATEMENTS None. 3. PRESENTATIONS None. CONSENT CALENDAR Minutes of the regular meeting of November 4, 2002. Payments from October 25, to November 29, 2002 in the amount of $347,251.63. Motion by Raphael, seconded by Schroeder to adopt Consent Calendar Items a. and b. REPORTS Intention of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency to apply for funds from the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency to capitalize a Revolving Loan Fund to help property owners carry out cleanup activities at Brownfield Sites within the City's Redevelopment Projects Areas. APPROVED NAT Economic Development Director Kunz gave an oral presentation. Bakersfield, California, December 9, 2002 - Page 2 UNFINISHED BUSINESS ACTION TAKEN None. 7. NEW BUSINESS a. Public hearing to determine whether the public interest and necessity require acquisition by eminent domain of property located at 930 California Avenue, Bakersfield, California, for an Aquatics Center and Indoor Ice Center (Code of Civil Procedure section 1245.230, et seq.) (Ward 2) Staff comments by City Attorney Thiltgen. Hearing opened at 4:13 p.m. No one spoke in favor of the staff recommendation. James T. Lanier, Esq., on behalf of the Harper's, and Toni Dougherty spoke in opposition to the staff recommendation. Hearing closed at 4:20 p.m. Motion by Raphael, seconded by Davenport to adopt the Resolution. 8. AGENCY STATEMENTS None. 9. WORKSHOP None. 10.
