HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-10-2003 MINUTES RABAKERSFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES MEETING OF MARCH 10, 2003 Council Chambers, City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue Regular Meeting - 4:00 p.m. REGULAR MEETING Deputy City Attorney Scanlan called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. With the Chairman and Vice-Chairman absent, Attorney Scanlan requested nominations for Chairman Pro Tempore. Motion by Raphael, seconded by Schroeder, Agency Member Cohen was nominated Chairman Pro Tempore for the March 10, 2003 meeting. ROLL CALL Present: Absent: Agency Members, Prince, Cohen, Martinez, Raphael, Schroeder Chairperson Mishoe, Agency Member Davenport ACTION TAKEN APPROVED AB MISHOE DA VENPORT 2o PUBLIC STATEMENTS None. CONSENT CALENDAR Minutes of the Special Meeting of February 18, 2003. Approval of department payments from February 7, 2003 to February 27, 2003 in the amount of $15,437.07. Motion by Raphael, seconded by Schroeder, to adopt Consent Calendar Items a. and b. REPORTS None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS APPROVED AB MISHOE DA VENPORT None. ¸4O Bakersfield, California, Mamh 10, 2003 - Page 2 NEW BUSINESS ACTION TAKEN Public hearing on Final Draft Application by the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency to United States Environmental Projection Agency to capitalize a Revolving Loan Fund to help property owners carry out cleanup activities at Brownfield Sites within the City's Redevelopment Project Areas. NAT Public hearing opened at 4:03 p.m. Public hearing closed at 4:04 p.m. Development Associate Webb provided a report regarding the Revolving Loan Fund application. Public Hearing for the Purpose of Reviewing the Downtown Bakersfield Redevelopment Plan and Implementation Plan. Public hearing opened at 4:10 p.m. Public hearing closed at 4:10p.m. Development Associate Barnes provided an overview of the Downtown Bakersfield Redevelopment Plan and Implementation Plan, c. Lease Agreements 1) Lease Agreement between the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency and Pedro and Julie Tellez for property located at 1020-1/2 King Street. 2) Lease Agreement between the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency and Juan and Cecelia Garcia for property located at 1020 King Street. Economic and Community Development Director Kunz provided information regarding the the agreements. Motion by Raphael, seconded by Schroeder, to approve agreements. AGENCY STATEMENTS Chairman Pro Tempore Cohen welcomed Mr. Martinez as NAT RA03-002 RA03-003 APPROVED AB MISHOE DA VENPORT 10. Bakersfield, California, March 10, 2003 - Page 3 ACTION TAKEN the new member to the Redevelopment Agency. Agency Member Martinez thanked the Mayor and Council for his appointment to the Agency and stated he looks forward to working with the Agency. CLOSED SESSION None.
