MEETING OF NOVEMBER 17, 2003

CONSENT CALENDAR
a. Minutes of the regular meeting of October 13, 2003.
b. Approval of department payments from October 4, 2003 to
October 31, 2003 in the amount of $50,348.43
c. Amendment No. 1 to Resolution No. RA1-86 granting
certain City employees the authority to invest Bakersfield
Redevelopment Agency monies in the State of California
Local Agency Investment Fund (LAIF).
Motion by Cohen, seconded by Raphael, to adopt
Consent Calendar Items a. through c.

NEW BUSINESS
a. Resolution of the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency
terminating Agreement No. 99-242/RA99-2 to use Tax
Increment Revenue to reimburse the City for up to
$275,000 for costs associated with the replacement and
installation of street lights on Baker Street between
Highway 178 and Truxtun Avenue.
Staff comments by Economic Development Director Kunz.
Motion by Raphael, seconded by Schroeder to terminate the
Agreement and use Tax Increment Revenue to replace street
lights.
b. Lease Agreement with Fantastic Furniture for rent of 712
Kentucky Street.
Staff comments by Economic Development Director Kurtz.
Motion by Schroeder, seconded by Raphael to approve the
Agreement.
c. Resolution establishing the dates of meetings for the
Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency for the months of
January through December 2004.
Motion by Raphael, seconded by Cohen to approve the
calendar.
