AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING SECTION 12.56.065 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SKATE
PARKS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 12,56.065 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby added to read as
follows:
12.56.065 Skate park.
A. Skateboarding, rollerskating, and inline skating are permitted within any skate park
owned and operated by the City of Bakersfield.
B. All persons skateboarding, rollerskating, or inline skating at a skate park owned or
operated by the City of Bakersfield, shall wear protective equipment, including, but not
limited to, a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads.
C. The hours of all skate parks owned and operated by the City of Bakersfield will be
at the discretion of the Director.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after the date of its
passage.
