Wn~tEAS, Robert E. McCarthy, III, owner, applied to the Historic Preservation Commission for designation of property located at 1800 19th Street, also known as the Standard Oil Building, as a Cultural Resource pursuant to Bakersfield Municipal Code Section 15.72.070 and for placement on the Bakersfield Register of the Historic Places; and WR~RF_,%S, the Historic Preservation Commission, after consideration of the application pursuant to the Bakersfield Municipal Code 15.72.060 found the property to be qualified for and worthy of Cultural Resource Designation on January 18, 1994; and WHEREAS, the property referred to is situated in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, and is described as follows: Lots 14 to 20 of Block 237 of Assessors Map No. 3-36 of the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California. W~EREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission recommends the property to be designated as a Cultural Resource and that it be placed on the Bakersfield Register of the Historic Places. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield does hereby resolve, determine and direct as follows: That the findings of the Historic Preservation Co~Faission in respect to the applicant are hereby adopted and incorporated herein; and o That the property located at 1800 19th Street, also known as the Standard Oil Building, be designated as a Cultural Resource of the City of Bakersfield; and That the same property be added to the Bakersfield Register of Historic Places; and That the City Clerk certify to the adoption of this Resolution and file a copy hereof, so certified, with the County Recorder within fifteen days after its adoption. .......... ooo ..........
