Lorraine Unger, representing Sierra Club, spoke
regarding funding and mixing of monies for
redevelopment projects.
CONSENT CALENDAR
a. Minutes of the regular meeting of July 12, 1999.
b. Payments from July 3, to September 3, 1999 in the
amount of $24,110.20.
Motion by Arriola, seconded by Raphael, to approve
Consent Calendar Item a.

6. NEW BUSINESS
Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. RA 99-1 with
Golden Empire Affordable Housing, Inc. (GEAHI)
for a 80-unit Senior Housing Project north of
Central Park.
Motion by Mishoe, seconded by Raphael to
approve the amendment.
Agreement for Reimbursement with the City of
Bakersfield for Baker Street Lighting
Improvements in an amount not to exceed
$275,000.
Motion by Raphael, seconded by Arriola, to
authorize the Chairperson to execute the
Agreement subject to approval as to form by
General Counsel.
Agreement to purchase industrial zoned land from
the City of Bakersfield on Mt. Vernon Avenue,
south of Belle Terrace for 1.1 million dollars.
Motion by Arriola, seconded by Mishoe to
authorize the Chairperson to execute the
Agreement subject to approval as to form by
General Counsel.
7. AGENCY STATEMENTS
Chairperson Miller announced Yvonne Cohrs and Evelyn
Weddle have officially resigned and thanked Ms. Cohrs
who chaired the Agency through the completion of the
Centennial Gardens.
