A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN OBSOLETE
CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT RECORDS.
WHEREAS, the City Police Department has requested
authority to destroy certain obsolete City Police Department
records; and
WHEREAS, the records involved are those certain
"Notices to Appear" (citations) entitled the "BJ" series. The
City Attorney has approved the request and determined the request
is in accordance with the procedures and requirements of
California Government Code sections 34090, et seq.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, pursuant to Government Code sections 34090,
et seq., the City Council grants approval for the immediate
destruction of all "Notices to Appear" ("BJ" series citations),
and for the continued destruction of such Notices to Appear after
they become two years old and for which the City Attorney has
given approval, without further City Council action.
