A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $52,000 (ASSET
FORFEITURE FUNDS) TO THE PUBLIC WORKS
OPERATING BUDGET IN THE EQUIPMENT
MANAGEMENT FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE
(3) USED REPLACEMENT VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the Police Department needs three (3) used cars as replacement
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, said vehicles will be used for undercover work; and
WHEREAS, asset forfeiture funds generated through narcotics detection,
interdiction, suppression, and seizure are available for the purchase of undercover
vehicles; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. Fifty-two thousand dollars ($52,000.00) in asset forfeiture funds is appropriated
to the Equipment Management Fund, Public Works operating budget for the purchase
of three replacement vehicles.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by
