A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
CONTRACT NO. 93-T0446 WITH THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA CONCERNING APPROVAL OF
A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TOXIC SUBSTANCES
CONTROL TO PURCHASE AN AUTOHATED
ELECTRONIC WEATHER STATION.
WHEREAS, the State of California, through the Department
of Toxic Substances Control, is willing to purchase hazardous
materials emergency response equipment to be used by the City of
Bakerfield's Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the State of California requires a resolution
from the governing body of the City authorizing the Mayor to
execute any agreements with the State.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. Contract No. 93-T0446 is hereby approved; and
2. The Mayor of the City of Bakersfield is hereby
authorized to execute Contract No. 93-T0446 with the State of
California; and,
3. The City Clerk shall certify the passage of this
resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof, and two (2)
executed copies of the agreement, to be mailed to the State of
California, Department of Toxic Substances Control. The City
Clerk is further authorized to take whatever other steps are
reasonable and necessary to supply documentation to the State of
California concerning the City's approval of this agreement.

! HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
