E. BAKERSFIELD Public WORKS 15101 TRUXTON AVE Bakersfield CA 93301 Dear Dewayne Statues, SPS 3108 FIRE STATION The following items have come to my attention that need clarification: RESOLUTION - In our August 1994 letter, we requested another resolution. This resolution is to contain the exact dollar amount that your agency will be contributing along with an authorization to allow the project manager to sign for the local government entity. We realize this will add to your time schedule, however, it is required by the State Administrative Manual, Section 1208. MAY 30, 1995 DEADLINE - We are presently seeking an extension of this date. We are confident that the Department of Finance (DOF) will agree to a date extension and the Legislature wi~.l approve it. Within the next month, we should receive DOF's concurrence and will notify you. ALLOWABLE COSTS - After consideration, we are allowing 3% for construction inspection and 3% for construction management. These costs in no case shall increase the amount specified in the Budget Bill. CHANGE ORDERS - The Grant agreement is being revised to consider inclusion of possible change orders. Any change orders allowed would in no case exceed the amount specified in the Budget Bill. This money would be for seismic work only. As discussed previously, in lieu of a peer review, we are enclosing a form from the Office of Regulation Services. This form is to be completed by the building department, at the time of plan check, and a copy mailed to us. Please include your SPS number on any correspondence.
