A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $140,000
ASSET FORFEITURE MONIES TO THE
PUBLIC WORKS OPERATING BUDGET IN
THE EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT FUND FOR
THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN (7) USED
VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the Police Department needs seven (7) used cars as replacement
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, said vehicles will be used for undercover work; and
WHEREAS, asset forfeiture funds generated through narcotics detection,
interdiction, suppression, and seizure are available for the purchase of undercover
vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1 ) One hundred forty thousand dollars ($140,000) in asset forfeiture monies is
appropriated to the Equipment Management Fund, Public Works Operating Budget for the
purchase of seven replacement vehicles.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
