A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR AND RECEIPT OF STATE GRANT FUNDS FOR
THE OFF ROAD VEHICLE PARK.
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved a
grant for the project shown above; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the
responsibility for the administration of the grant project, setting up necessary procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and
Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of contract(s) before
funding will be given to the city; and
WHEREAS, said agreement(s) contain assurances that the applicant must comply with;
and
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of California for
subject project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Bakersfield approves the agreements with
and receipt from the State Department of Parks and Recreation for said grant monies.
2. That the City Council of the City of Bakersfield certifies that the Bakersfield
Planning Department understands its assurances and certification as found in the agreements.
3. That the City Council of the City of Bakersfield certifies that the Planning
Department has reviewed and understands the provisions contained in the agreement.
4. That the City Council of the City of Bakersfield appoints its Planning Director, or
his designee, as agent to conduct ali negotiations, execute and submit all documents including,
but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so on, which
may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project(s).

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted, by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on April 14, 2004 the
