RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING CITY
EMERGENCY PLAN
WHEREAS, on October 25, 1995 the Bakersfield City Council adopted Resolution
No. 164-95 authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for participation in the Kern
County Operational area Emergency Management Organization (County Agreement No.
475-95); and
WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code chapter 2.40 authorizes the Bakersfield
Disaster Council to develop a city emergency plan to take effect upon adoption by
resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield formally adopted an emergency
operations plan in November of 1996; and
WHEREAS, the emergency operations plan of November 1996 has been modified
and updated pursuant to the requirements of California Government Code sections 8607
and 8610;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
A modified city emergency plan as set forth in volumes I and 2 on file with the
Bakersfield City Clerk is hereby adopted.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
