A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING COLLECTION OF
ASSESSMENTS BY THE KERN COUNTY TAX
COLLECTOR FOR DEMOLITION AND/OR REMOVAL
OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield has
adopted Resolution No. 69-93 confirming the Reports of the
Building Director regarding assessments of certain properties
in the City of Bakersfield (attached hereto as Exhibit "A") for
demolition of dangerous buildings; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Chapter 8.80 requires that in
the event such charges assessed and confirmed against the
properties as listed in Exhibit "A" are not paid in full by
June 30, 1993, the Assistant Finance Director shall cause the
amount of said assessments remaining unpaid against the
property to be entered and extended on the property tax roll,
and pursuant to law, the County Tax collector shall include the
tax bill applicable to the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield:
1. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct.
2. The charges assessed and confirmed against the
properties as listed in Exhibit "A" have not been paid as of
June 30, 1993.
3. The Tax Collector of the County of Kern, and such
other County officers as may be required, are hereby authorized
to place the above mentioned assessments on the secured roll of
the County and collect such assessments in the same manner as
ad valorem property taxes.
4. The City Clerk shall transmit said assessments to
the Assistant Finance Director with instructions to submit same
to the Kern County Auditor-Controller and Tax Collector.

I, Gilbert Rojas declare:
1. I am the duly appointed Assistant Finance Director of
the City of Bakersfield, California. I am making this
declaration pursuant to Chapter 8.80 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code.
2. Pursuant to Resolution No. 69-93 passed and adopted
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, the assessments for
certain properties in the City of Bakersfield attached hereto
as Exhibit "A" for demolition of dangerous buildings have been
confirmed.
3. The charges assessed and confirmed against the
properties as listed in Exhibit "A" have not been paid as of
June 30, 1993.
4. The foregoing matters are within my personal
knowledge and, if called as a witness herein, I could and would
competently testify thereto.
5. I declare, under penalty of perjury, under the laws
of the State of California, that the foregoing is true and
correct.
