proposed Fiscal Year 1993-94 Operating
Budget for the City of Bakersfield.
Correspondence has been received from
approximately 40 individuals expressing
their concerns relating to Fire Fighter
and Police layoffs.
Hearing opened.
Lori Schoene spoke regarding maintenance
districts and fire safety.
The following individuals spoke regarding
the Fire Department Budget/fire safety:
Richard Watkins, Kirk Blair, Tim Luken
and Ed Watts.
Clarence Medders spoke regarding Operating
Budget in general.

Innkeepers Association President,
dated June 1, 1993, urging approval
of City Manager Tandy's recommendation
that the Bakersfield Convention and
Visitor's Bureau funding be 10% of the
transient occupancy tax.
