HEARINGS Hearing to receive public comment on proposed Fiscal Year 1993-94 Operating Budget for the City of Bakersfield. Correspondence has been received from approximately 40 individuals expressing their concerns relating to Fire Fighter and Police layoffs. Hearing opened. Lori Schoene spoke regarding maintenance districts and fire safety. The following individuals spoke regarding the Fire Department Budget/fire safety: Richard Watkins, Kirk Blair, Tim Luken and Ed Watts. Clarence Medders spoke regarding Operating Budget in general. Hearing closed. Hearing to receive public comment on proposed Fiscal Year 1993-94 Capital Improvements Budget for the city of Bakersfield. No one spoke at hearing. Hearing closed. Hearing to receive public comment on proposed Fiscal Year 1993-94 Central District Development Agency Budget. No one spoke at hearing. Hearing to receive public comment on proposed Transportation Impact Fees. No one spoke at hearing. Hearing closed. Hearing to receive public comment on increasing the Transient Lodging Tax Rate. Communication has been received from James R. (Rusty) Dalton, Bakersfield Innkeepers Association President, dated June 1, 1993, urging approval of City Manager Tandy's recommendation that the Bakersfield Convention and Visitor's Bureau funding be 10% of the transient occupancy tax. Hearing to receive public comment on changes to fees and service charges pursuant to the Revenue/Cost Comparison System under Chapter 3.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code. (Hard 4) McDermott was absent due to a possible conflict of interest. No one spoke at hearing. Hearing closed. Hearing as required by Resolution of Intention No. 1106, to receive public testimony regarding the addition of territory and assessments for Maintenance District No. 1, Division 3 (Fruitvale). (Ward 4) No one spoke at hearing. Hearing closed. Hearing to receive public testimony regarding the assessments for Maintenance District Nos. i through 5, all divisions. Correspondence has been received from approximately 25 individuals expressing their concerns regarding maintenance districts assessments. Hearing opened.
