HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 8-93RESOLUTION NO. 8-93 A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 57-92 AND 90-92 SETTING SALARIES AND RELATED BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE BLUE AND WHITE COLLAR UNITS; AND OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE GENEI~%L SUPERVISORY, POLICE SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT UNITS. WHEREAS, Resolutions Nos. 57-92 and 90-92 set salaries and related benefits for employees of the Blue and White Collar Units; and officers and employees of the General Supervisory, Police Supervisory and Managements Units of the City, which Resolutions were amended by Resolution No. 137-92 on July 15, 1992; the City desires to make further amendments thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield that the Salary Schedule, a part of Resolutions Nos. 57-92 and 90-92, is hereby amended as follows: 1. Effective January 11, 1993, Resolution No. 57-92 is amended by deleting the following class titles from the Personnel Clerk Personnel Technician Personnel Analvst 3. Resolution No. 90-92, Section 4A. is hereby amended to read as follows: Car and Mileaqe Allowance A. The City Attorney, Planning Director, Economic Development Director, Finance Director, Water and Sanitation Manager and Assistant City Manager who are not furnished an official City car shall be reimbursed for automobile use at the rate of THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($324.00) per month. Members of the City Council shall be reimbursed for automobile at a rate equivalent to fifty-five percent (55%) of that designated for department heads. 2 5. Resolution No. 90-92, Section 9D. is hereby amended as follows: Uniform and Tool Allowance D. Effective July 1, 1992, the uniform allowance for Fire Management shall be increased to Six Hundred Forty ($640) Dollars. Effective July 1, 1993, the uniform allowance shall be increased to Six Hundred Eighty ($680) Dollars. Effective December, 1993, the Butwin jacket shall become a mandatory uniform item. Payments in 1992 and 1993 shall be made with one-half of the annual amount payable on July 1, and the remaining one-half payable on December 1. If an employee terminates before the period for which payment has been received, such employee shall reimburse city on a prorata basis. 6. Resolution No. 90-92 is hereby amended to add the following paragraph to Section 3.
