RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN
COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT CAN BE REASONABLY
OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR, MOTOROLA
C & E, INC. AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH BIDDING THEREFOR,
NOT TO EXCEED $150,200.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that Communication Equipment
for various City departments can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor and has recommended that this Council authorize
dispensing with bid therefor in accordance with Section 3.20.060 D.
of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that communication equipment for
various City departments can be reasonably obtained from only one
vendor, Motorola C & E, Inc., because of the need for
compatibility, and authorizes the Finance Director to dispense with
bidding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of same from such
vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
