A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING COLLECTION OF
ASSESSMENTS BY THE KERN COUNTY TAX
COLLECTOR FOR DEMOLITION AND/OR REMOVAL
OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES
WHEREAS, the Council 0f the City of Bakersfield has
adopted Resolutions No. 160-91 and 188-91 confirming the
Reports of the Building Director regarding assessments of
certain properties in the City of Bakersfield (attached hereto
as Exhibit "A") for demolition of dangerous buildings; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Chapter 8.80 requires that in
the event such charges assessed and confirmed against the
properties as listed in Exhibit "A" are not paid in full by
June 30, 1992, the City Finance Director shall cause the amount
of said assessments remaining unpaid against the property to be
entered and extended on the property tax roll, and pursuant to
law, the County Tax collector shall include the tax bill
applicable to the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield:
1. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct.
2. The charges assessed and confirmed against the
properties as listed in Exhibit "A" have not been paid as of
June 30, 1992, with the exception of the following assessment,
which has been paid:

3. The Tax Collector of the County of Kern, and such
other County officers as may be required, are hereby authorized
to place the above mentioned assessments on the secured roll of
the County and collect such assessments in the same manner as
ad valorem property taxes.
4. The City Clerk shall transmit said assessments to
the Director of Finance with instructions to submit same to the
Kern County Auditor-Controller and Tax Collector. ~%~A'~O~

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on 3uly 15, 1992 , by

I, Gregory J. Klimko, declare:
1. I am the duly appointed Finance Director of the City
of Bakersfield, California. I am making this declaration
pursuant to Chapter 8.80 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
2. Pursuant to Resolutions No. 160-91 and 188-91, passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, the
assessments for certain properties in the City of Bakersfield
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" for demolition of dangerous
buildings have been confirmed.
3. The charges assessed and confirmed against the
properties as listed in Exhibit "A" have not been paid as of
June 30, 1992 with the exception of the following assessment,
which has been paid:
