AGENCY NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES: In the case of any Major Emergency involving a Spill, Fire, Health, or Safety problem the procedure will be as follows: The person who is the first one to see the emergency will call for help and call 911 or direct someone else to make the call while they notify all other employees and help with the emergency in any way possible. Other problems will be handled by calling the proper Agency to include: Fire Department ~ 324-4542, Police ~ 327-7111, and Hall Ambulance ~ 327- 4111. In all cases Corporate Officials will be notified in Ennis, TX. By calling 1- 800-331-8118. Locally Dick Carlisle will be notified ~ 1-805-860-1544 B. EMPLOYEE NOTIFICATION AND EVACUATION: Employees will be notified of any emergency by an emergency alarm. All areas will have a posted evacuation plan. Employees move out the assigned exit into an assembly area. This procedure will be covered during Safety training. C. PUBLIC EVACUATION: The Fire Department will be contacted first either by calling direct or a 911 call. They will make the decision as to whether a Public Evacuation is necessary. Our employees will aid them in anyway they need assistance such as notifying nearby residence or assisting in traffic control. D. EMERGENCY MEDICAL PLAN: Employees will be trained to do the following: 1. The Employee who observes or finds the emergency will call for help while surveying the situation. If help is available they will direct them to call 91 lwhile they return to the scene. 2. If no one is available for help they will call 911 and report the emergency. They will return to the scene and if conditions are safe they will render First Aid until professional help arrives. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS MANAGEMENT PLAN SECTION 7 MITIGATION, PREVENTION AND ABATEMENT PLAN A. RELEASE PREVENTION STEPS: 1. All bulk liquids are stored in a diked Tank Farm regardless of flammability Characteristics. The containment area will hold over 100% of the largest tank. Liquids in smaller quantities are purchased in drums and totes that have a safety seal, that is not removed until they are brought into the manufacturing area. 2.Pigments are stored in a clean well-ventilated warehouse. Material from broken bags is cleaned up immediately and used in the next batch unless it is contaminated. B. RELEASE CONTAINMENT AND/OR MINIMIZATION: All spills are reported as soon as they occur. Processing in that area is shut down until cleanup has been completed. If additional help is needed, people are brought in from other areas. Production will not start until cleanup has been completed. C CLEANUP PROCEDURES: Cleanup procedures will utilize the guidelines recommended in the M. S.D.S. sheets that are supplied by the manufacturers. Small spills will be treated in the same cautious manner as major problems.
