A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT A CERTAIN
TRACTOR DRAWN LADDER TRUCK CAN BE
REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR,
FWD CORPORATION, SEAGRAVE FIRE APPARATUS
AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
DISPENSE WITH BIDDING THEREFOR, AND TO
PURCHASE SAID TRACTOR DRAWN LADDER TRUCK
FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $412,000.00.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that a tractor drawn ladder
truck for the Fire Department can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor and has recommended that this Council authorize dis-
pensing with bidding therefor in accordance with subsection D.(1)
of Section 3.20.060 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that a tractor drawn ladder
truck for the Fire Department can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor, FWD Corporation, Seagrave Fire Apparatus, because of
restricted availability of this type of equipment, and authorizes
the Finance Director to dispense with bidding therefor and to
negotiate the purchase of same from such vendor, not to exceed
$412,000.00.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on JUN - 5 1§91 , by
