HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 71-91RESOLUTION NO. 71-91 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY AND FINDING THAT SUCH SALE IS IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CITY (FIRE STATION, 1301 FOURTH STREET). WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.20.125 B. of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Council may authorize a nego- tiated sale of real property when it finds that such sale is in the best interests of the City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65402, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield determined that said proposed sale is consistent with the Bakersfield Metropolitan Area General Plan; and WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear- ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed sale of City canal property located at 1301 4th Street; and WHEREAS, said hearing was duly noticed and held on WEDNESDAY, MAY 22, 1991, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That the sale of the City property located at 1301 4th Street, more particularly described on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set ~orth, is in the best interests of the City; That the benefits to be derived by the City justify the sale price of $60,200.00; and That the Mayor is authorized to execute the papers of conveyance and conclude the sale of real property pursuant to such other terms and conditions as are acceptable to City staff. That a real estate sales commission of six percent (6%) of the sales price is authorized to be paid from the proceeds of the sale. .......... o0o ..........
