A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY AND FINDING THAT
SUCH SALE IS IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF
THE CITY (CANAL PROPERTY NORTH OF WEST
COLUMBUS AND EAST OF CHESTER AVENUE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.20.125 B. of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Council may authorize a nego-
tiated sale of real property when it finds that such sale is in
the best interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed sale
of City canal property located North of West Columbus and East of
Chester Avenue; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was duly noticed and held on
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27, 1991, in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That the sale of the City canal property located
north of West Columbus and East of Chester Avenue,
more particularly described on Exhibit "A," attached
hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth,
is in the best interests of the City;
That the benefits to be derived by the City justify
the sale price of $2,300.00; and
That the Finance Director is authorized to
the papers of conveyance and conclude the
real property pursuant to such other terms

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
