A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING A SUPPLEME~'TAL
aLLOCATION WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FORADDITIO~D. L FUNDINGON'~'~u~
"H" STREET UNDERPASS PROJECT.
WHEP, EAS, the "H" Street Underpass at the Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company tracks in the City of
Bakersfield has been. completed; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2459 of the California Streets
and Highways Code, the City is entitled to a supplemental
allocation from the California Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, certain documentation is required to qualify
the City for such an. allocation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The "H" Street Underpass has been completed and
accepted by the City Council.
2. The final costs have been determined, as set forth
in a separate tabulation to be submitted to the California
Department of Transportation herewith, and that all costs set
forth were necessary to make the grade separation operable for
vehicular and railroad traffic.
3. A separate agreement between the City and the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company obligated said
railroad to contribute ten percent (10%) of the costs of the
project.
4. The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to
file a formal request with the California Department of
Transportation requesting such supplemental allocation, and to
supply all information, documentation, or other data required in
connection therewith.

passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on F[8 2 7 19§1 , by the
